Our products come from pineapple fruit fermentation (FF). We use a proprietary lacto-fermentation process to create various organic acids, bio-surfactant, natural preservative and enzymes from pineapple. The FF synergizes well with selected plant-based surfactant(s), creating effective and safe cleaning solutions.

Why are we interested in Lacto-fermentation?
As crude oil demand has increased and technologies of crude extraction and refining have developed, there has been increasing use of petroleum-derived surfactants and various synthetic chemicals as ingredients in our household cleaning products. In fact, today virtually all common household washing and cleaning products use petroleum-derived ingredients.

We believe chemicals derived from petroleum can be toxic themselves and/or the process of obtaining the end chemicals can create toxic by-products. Such toxins can be harmful to humans and other animals, the ocean and other water resources, plants and the general environment.

Lacto-fermentation is fermentation using lactobacillus or lactic acid bacteria (LAB) (commonly known as probiotic bacteria). Lacto-fermentation can produce natural cleaning materials including numerous kind of acids such as lactic acid, acetic acid, formic and propionic acids and other natural enzymes and has natural anti-microbial properties.

We believe that natural cleaning agents, enzymes and anti-microbial materials are less harmful to humans and the environment, and could be used, partially or wholly, to substitute for petroleum-derived surfactants and synthetic builders and preservatives.
